JOHNNY CUPCAKES “THERE’S SOMETHING IN THE CUPCAKE MIX”

Once again, my favourite brand seems to be bringing the heat with another set of limited tee releases, this time with the Boston brands ever popular ‘There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix’: Volume 4.  The collection is made up of four tees, each portraying a different graphic and story, but nonetheless, effective, clean and fun in general as always.

The products when purchased come in a nicely thought out and high quality packaging, with the other three tees on the back of the box and a little bit of information on each graphic written, as well as the collection name.

-These three tees from the collection can only be purchased at Johnny Cupcake flagship stores, and are numbered up to 200 per piece, so good luck on being able to purchase one.  However, if you visit the Johnny Cupcakes Ebay Vault, there are currently a handful for sale, but the price is going BIG.

MELLOW MONDAY

This week sees the return of ‘Mellow Monday’ following the absence of the post last week.  No need to babble on such a post as this, straight to the point; this weeks track is delivered by Oxford based ‘Foals’ with the cool chilling, summer sounding track ‘Olympic Airways’ from their first studio album ‘Antidotes’.

STEREO PANDA X CROOKS AND CASTLES

A couple of weeks back, I posted an article on the Stereo Panda collaboration with streetwear powerhouse; Crooks And Castles.  The details were unknown as to what product(s) were being worked although now – with the first snaps now circling the internet I’m sure – I can now show you the Stereo Panda X Crooks And Castles varsity jacket.

The varsity jacket will be produced in limited numbers, and you can expect high quality garment as well as dope attention to detail!

KANYE WEST ‘PASTELLE’ LINE

For a while now I have been thinking that Kanye West’s much anticipating clothing line, named ‘Pastelle’ was nothing but a fashion rumour – a myth even- something that was never coming to fruition.  For months I was expecting a release of pictures or at least news on progress of the line, however, when I had more or less completely forgotten about the line all together, news once again reappears on blogs over the internet.

I can now put up the first snaps from the ‘Pastelle’ lookbook, with people guestimating a Spring/Summer 2010 release, although I personally am not getting my hopes up too high as anything related with this brand seems to be true to its word, unless that is merely down to business-consumer mis-communications.

KCDC SKATE SHOP X TODD BRATRUD

Brooklyn based skate shop KCDC have teamed up with artist Todd Bratrud to produce a limited edition graphic tee, available in white and green as well as a shirt also.  The exclusive tee features a broken bottle with roses, as well as a blood-smeared graphic with the letters KC and DC on either side of the broken bottle.  The design as a whole holds a nice little story and the flow is there, which is essential for graphic tees…in my opinion, if that counts?

The tees and shirt are now available at any KCDC stockist or you can also go on their online shop as well to purchase.

DESIRED HEARTS SECOND TEE DROP

Desired Hearts recently worked on a collection of tees with independent graphic designer Benny Gold.  The collection of tees were part of a whole relaunch for the brand, as well as tees the website was relaunched also.  In addition, Desired Hearts are ready to drop their second wave of tees, and are now available on the Desired Hearts online shop.

MELLOW MONDAY

The start of the week only implies one thing here at T.S.S.C (The Stereo State Co.), which is ‘Mellow Monday’.  Just woke up and am on my way to getting ready for work, which only makes my blogging at this time that much more unreasonable.  Anyway, this weeks ‘Mellow Monday’ track is the very chilled and calm; ‘Teardrop’ from Massive Attack.

THE HUNDREDS BY JUN CHA COLLECTION

Okay, so here are a couple of snaps from The Hundreds special collection with artist Jun Cha.  The interesting collection features caps, beanies, sweats, tees, accessories and skate decks, with all graphical acclaim going to Jun Cha.

Not a fan of previous The Hundreds collaborations, however, this team-up seems to hit a home-run in my opinion which I’m sure will bring mass popularity from not just ‘TH’s faithfulls but from an outside perspective as well.  all items are now available at THLA and THSF.

JOHHNY CUPCAKES CARDIGAN

The first October release for brand Johnny Cupcakes is their latest clothing venture; the cardigan.  A product never before seen in the Johhny Cupcakes product line-up, but one of which only shows the growth and diversity of the Boston brand.

The cardigan is now available from $75 for both boys and girls, at any ot the Johnny Cupcakes flagship stores as well as their online shop.

BLACK SCALE FALL 09′ COLLECTION

Like any other brand at this time of the year, Black Scale have now shown their graphical prowess with the release of their Fall 2009 Collection.  The collection features strong graphics which has deffinitely helped them grow as a brand as well as an introduction of outwear and caps.

All products can now be found through any Black Scale retailers.

STEREO PANDA RELEASES

The French brand created through the love off free-style BMX, brings the latest collection of tees and jumpers.  Inspiration seems to come from their love and background off BMX as well as classic cinema to bring a different style to many other brands which feels refreshing.

We are still looking forward to see what Stereo Panda and Crooks & Castles have lined up as the information is on high level lock down at the moment.
